By reducing food waste volume by up to 90% and turning it into a nutrient-rich soil amendment, we’re not only starving the landfill but repurposing scraps to use for plants and gardens.
Program Details
We understand that maintaining a composting bin can be labor-intensive, and some households may not generate sufficient food waste to fully utilize one. Therefore, we have partnered with the municipalities within our district boundaries to offer a program designed to encourage and facilitate the reduction of food waste.

Food Cycle Science FoodCycler must be purchased through your local Municipality on or after April 1st, 2024.

Completed application form, accompanied by a copy of purchase receipt, must be submitted to the WIWD to receive the rebate.
